Liberty's Restaurant

At Liberty’s the emphasis remains with providing contemporary food throughout the day. We pride ourselves in using only the freshest ingredients in a contemporary style to cater to all tastes. The restaurant is located adjacent to the Lobby on the ground floor and is designed to become part of the vibrant indoor “Piazza” atmosphere of the development.

The restaurant offers many variable options of dining, incorporating the breakfast/dining area, library and lounge, smoker's lounge, estreet bar and Piazza. Executive Chef, Simon Kemp will tantalize everyone’s taste buds with his fresh food approach. The restaurant makes it easy for our business clientele to conduct business while dining anytime of the day. Local and surrounding business clientele is encouraged to join us for lunch, our turnaround time is guaranteed.

The estreet bar at the Upper Eastside Hotel

estreet bar boasts a diverse list of South African wine, including organic wines, Potstill Brandies, Single Malt Whiskeys and cocktails. Avoid rush-hour trafficin the evening and and rather enjoy some Tapas, drinks and soothing music. The smoker's lounge can be enjoyed with the option of savouring good cigars from abroad.

In-room dining is provided for your convenience from 07:00 – 22:30. Please make your selection from the in-room menu.

Champagne & Sparkling Wine

Pommery Brut Royal

Broad and inviting, exhibiting peach, honey and spice flavors. This is creamy and stays focused, with moderate length.

Guy Charbaut Brut

Made from Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Fruity on the nose, with a refreshing crisp finish towards the end.

Veuve Cliquot

A blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Always a favorite, the appeal is primarily in the rich, creamy texture and round balance.

Pierre Jordaan Brut

Crisp, complex and rewarding on the palate. The color a rich copper, typical for a “cuvée” blend.

Pongracz Rose

This enticing Brut Rosé enthralls with a wonderful foamy mouthful of black berry fruit flavours and delicate yeasty tones that linger long.

Miss Molly MCC

The young wine shows typical green apple and green bean flavours, supported by wild-grass flavours.

De Grendal

A crisp Sauvignon blanc packed with grenadilla, guava and greenpepper on the palate, but tropicality and pomelo linger on a great finish.

Anura

French style with mineral, grassy, green fig tones combined with pineapple, lemon, granadella, grapefruit flavours. This wine has a well balanced acidity and a crisp, refreshing palate.

Cederberg (unwooded)

A powerful nose of tropical melon, grapefruit and lemon peel. Five months of lees contact created a mouth tingling crispness.

Kanu (Unwooded)

Pale straw colour. Intriguing nose of green melon, nectarines and honeysuckle contrasting with a more savoury celery salt character.

Ken Forrester

Golden hued and full bodied, with melon and spicy baked apple aromas. Layered, with mineral notes enhanced by honeycomb and caramel flavours.

Nederberg Bush Vine

Lime and dried apricot aromas with vanilla oak in the background. Crisp and fresh with a creamy texture and subtle citrus and apricot flavours.

Chardonnay

Moreson Premium (Wooded)

Packed with classic Chardonnay fruit this wine entices the senses with tones of chestnuts, vanilla and underlying citrus.and maximum oak and fruit integration.

Anura (Wooded)

Elegant lemon and lime and papaya flavours, combined with a floral bouquet and hints of spice and honey which are integrated with subtle French oak and mineral aromas.

Laibach Ladybird (Organic)

The wine shows a light straw colour. Complex nose, with some hay and apricot prominent.

Jordan Chameleon

An entriguing blend, grassy, green fig, Sauvignon blanc and zesty, citrus melon chardonnay, balanced with a creamy finish.

L` Avenir (Off Dry)

A full palate abundant with the tropical flavours of pineapple, pear and melon that linger with elegance.

Fleur du Cap Viognier (Unfil)

This wine has a straw yellow colour with tinges of green, a rich fruity nose with apricot, dried peach and vanilla.

Thelema Riesling

Sweeter and richer than the usual Alsatian style, the wine has a delicious apricot and honeysuckle character, and is lush and soft on the palate.

D` Aria Blush Rose

This is a blend of the two star varieties of the Durbanville Valley. It delivers a unique wine where the typical Sauvignon Blanc flavours are complemented with fresh red berry fruits from the Merlot.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Zondernaam

Cassis cherries and cedar with underlying hints of toasted oak and lead pencil. A great purity of dense dark fruit with a hint of mocha and spice.

Nitida

Instantly recognisable mince-pie fruit, voluptuous and velvet smooth, cinnamon, cloves, currants and raisins, lightly wrapped in chocolate.

Uitkyk Carlonet

Cherries, blackcurrant and prunes with tobacco, dark chocolate and oak spices in the background. A smooth and slightly tannic palate.

Warwick First Lady

The nose shows ripe red berries, prunes and black currents, complemented by sweet oak and black pepper undertones.

Merlot

Niel Joubert

Nose packed with ripe plums, chocolate, violet and vanilla. Light touch of sweet oak. Soft, almost juicy tannins in long, well-rounded finish.

Linton Park

A fruit-driven wine with cherry and mulberry flavours, complimented by just enough oak to give a balanced finish to the fruit.

Durbanville Hills Rhinofields

Medium to full-bodied with strawberries and cherries followed by oak spices.

D’Aria

The wine is prepared in a style aimed to preserve the fruit flavours of ripe red berries and plum and not to be overwhelmed by too much wood.

Robert Alexander

An elegant wine with a fine balance between fruit and tannins.

On the nose, rich dark chocolate, a hint of mint and baked plums.

Warwick Estate

Plum garnet colour with a complex mixture of fruits on the nose.

Beyerskloof

Full bodied Pinotage with a deep purple colour.

Jacobsdal

Dark ruby with purple edges, fresh sweetish raspberry and plum flavours with a slight farmyard character followed by subtle oak.

Neetlingshof Owl Post

Raspberry and cherry aromas with a background of vanilla oak, a rich and ripe palate with cherry and vanilla flavours.

Shiraz

Guardian Peak

There is also broad mocha feel to the wine backed up by plums and blackberries with an elegant velvety finish.

Vrede & Lust

A Rhone style Shiraz showing violets, plums and sweet spice.

Kevin Arnold

A personal expression of the spice and mocca characters this grape shows in the Helderberg vineyards. Beautifully soft and velvety.

Brampton

The rich, savoury character of Shiraz is enhanced by Viognier and the Mourvédre brings wild berry & spice to this blend. Earth, pepper-spice and hints of dark chocolate support the richness of ripe fruit.

Glen Carlou

Dark red with purple hue in colour. Aniseed, mulberries, dark chocolate and black currants with herbal tea notes on the nose.

Pinot Noir

Muratie

Strawberry to garnet hue, exceptional for Pinot Noir. Fresh cherries and hint of strawberry on the nose. Slight hint of French oak in the background. Wonderful balance and an elegant structure.

Signal Hill

A medium bodied classic Pinot Noir showing lovely ripe fruits, cherries and redcurrants, with definite aromas of farmyard and field mushrooms. wine with a fresh, acidity on the pallet and silky finish.

Red Blends

Rustenberg John X Merriman

Plum and Cigar box aromatics prelude a multi-layered palate with an elegant tannin structure.

Vergelegen Mill Race Red

Attractive dark ruby. The nose shows black berries, mint, eucalyptus and vanilla flavours. The wine is soft and elegant on entry.

Pepper Pot

This wine is created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of these Rhône varietals. The colour is youthful and purple/red.

Kanu Rockwood

A nose of dark chocolate and raspberry, complimented by the peppery, nutmeg and cinnamon notes of the Shiraz component. Soft, velvety tannins with lively fruit that ends in a long dry finish.

Rupert & Rothchild

Powerful, dense structure with aromas of blackberry, black pepper, coriander and roasted coffee bean. Lively and complex with velvety tannins and a lingering aftertaste.

Groote Post

A down to earth, easy drinking red which is soft and smooth. Merlot based, the nose has a faint touch of white pepper and spice with abundant berry and rich plum flavours on the palate.

Nico v.d Merwe Cape Elements

Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins.

Tukulu Sangiovese

Dark red brick colour, wine is clear well polished on edges, savoury earthy notes with underlying red fruits with spice.

Laibach Ladybird (organic)

The wine shows a dark concentrated colour. Fantastic nose, with “oodles” of fruit bursting from the glass.

Dessert Wines

Signal Hill Vin De L-Emperor

Aromatic grape produces wines that are characterized by floral aromas with peach and citrus flavors, a gold coloured botrytised muscat with a floral nose, sweet balanced citrus flavour and a long dry mineral finish.

Fleur Du Cap Noble

The wine has a bright yellow gold colour. On the nose the wine shows ample typical botrytis aromas of dried apricots, honey and peach

Jordan Malifera

Delicate floral and fresh ripe apricot bouquet with a limey citrus twist. Sundried peach, apricot flavours, with a well-balanced acidity.

Ken Forrester

This golden wine with fresh, green tones is in a lighter style, clean yet unctuously sweet. Sumptuous peach, apricot flavours, overlaid with a tropical lushness of melon and pineapple.
